For Canada Day – an interview about The Assistant

Just in time for Canada Day, I have an interview on Wayne Turmel’s blog where I talk about my fascination with Canadian history in general, and the history of Nova Scotia in specific.  Part of my novel The Assistant takes place in Nova Scotia in the year 1800, and while at that time Nova Scotia was not part of Canada, it was one of the four colonies that came together to form this wonderful country 67 years later.

My cover art is a watercolour of Halifax Harbour from 1769
